Splits a PDF with the in-house engine: one file per page, chunks of every N pages, or the ranges you list (1-3; 4-6; 7-, also odd/even/last). Each part is a standalone PDF whose pages, fonts and images are copied from the source; several parts are packaged in a ZIP, a single range downloads as one PDF. Nothing is uploaded and broken cross-reference tables are rebuilt on the way.
